The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (The Hunger Games, #0)

This book was better than I expected. I’m usually leery of prequels, as it seems a lot of time, they’re just written for another money bump. This one was really well written, telling the story of Coriolanus Snow before he becomes president- as an 18 year old mentor in the 10th hunger games, when it resembles nothing like the hunger games in the original trilogy. It also chronicles his evolution from idealistic schoolboy, to ruthless dictator.
