Listening through audible and Jeremy telling the story gave it so much life. I think this is a fantastic sequel to The Little Woods. Diane has so much pain and sorrow she carries. I love her character so much. Can't wait to get book 3. I will most likely do audible for that one as well because Jeremy is a wonderful narrator who really gives the story that extra spark.

Just when you think the story of the woods couldn’t get any darker, A.G. Mock proves you wrong—and then some. Years after the chilling events first unfolded, the terror not only returns, it deepens into something far more sinister. By the final page, I was seriously considering reaching for holy water and whispering a few prayers just to shake off the dread. Mock’s storytelling is unnervingly vivid, crawling under your skin and lingering long after you’ve closed the book. One thing’s for sure—this author doesn’t just write horror, he wields it. And yes, he might be just a little bit twisted… in the best possible way.
