3-Star Review
Recently retired FBI agent Kate Wise is pulled back into action when her friend’s daughter is murdered in a quiet suburban neighborhood. Bored with retirement and eager for a sense of purpose, Kate agrees to help, only to find herself chasing a serial killer targeting suburban moms. As the bodies stack up, Kate must dig beneath the surface of her seemingly perfect community, uncovering secrets, lies, and betrayals. Though the premise is intriguing and Kate is a capable lead, the story relies heavily on familiar tropes, and the pacing drags in places. A solid but predictable suburban thriller with a seasoned heroine at its center.
