Wrathburn
Eric Wrathburn is just as troubled as he is gifted. Due to his special abilities, he has been chosen to rescue the citizens of Hiraeth, a magical city that very few people know about, while battling his own personal demons.
Serena Catskill is a travel writer visiting London for the first time. After her initial encounter with the enigmatic and tortured Eric Wrathburn, she is thrust into his twisted but often beautiful world where nothing is quite what it seems.
Together they embark on a strange journey into the unknown, but they are not alone. Eric has a nefarious voice in the back of his head. It has been there since birth. He sees it in the mirror. It visits him in the dark. Over the years, he has managed to keep it at bay, but not anymore.
Sometimes when you cage the beast, the beast gets angry...

It starts a bit wobbly and uncertain, but once it finds its way, this is a fantastic story. Intense, great characters, kinda graphic noveley in tone, and addictive.

I really enjoyed Wrathburn! It's a different read then my normal genre. Hayley does a great job mixing dark fantasy, romance, and psychological thriller elements into an exciting and unforgettable story. The different genres kept me interested, and I loved how each part came together to create a rich, layered story. Hayley's vivid descriptions and imaginative storytelling made the world of Hiraeth feel real, like I was right there with the characters. Eric Wrathburn's complex character and his intense relationship with Serena Catskill added depth and emotion, making it hard to put the book down.
All-in-all, Wrathburn is a beautifully written story of turmoil, magic, and love.

This story is a mesmerizing blend of dark fantasy and psychological horror, with complex characters and a gripping plot that keeps you hooked from start to finish. Eric Wrathburn's internal struggles and the magical world of Hiraeth are beautifully crafted. Serena Catskill's journey adds an emotional depth that perfectly complements the psychological twists. Highly recommended for anyone who loves a well-written, fast-paced adventure. Five stars all the way!

When Serena visits London for the first time as a travel writer, she never expected the chaos that ensued. She must work with Eric Wrathburn and travel to his world to restore order. The journey will challenge both and they will meet others along the way who may help or hinder the quest. Serena and Eric must make their way to the city of Hiraeth to save its citizens.
I’m not usually a fan of fantasy, but the rich characters and world really draw you in!
