5 star for sheer creep factor and the fact that I had to nope on reading it when it was dark outside.
But the ending felt a bit flat. I'm not sure what *could* have been done to resolve it, but it didn't quite match up to the rest of the book.
Still an enjoyable read and a master class in spooky

"I will never feel comfortable around a sleepwalker/talker again.” That sums up my experience with "Stolen Tongues" by Felix Blackwell. This intense and creepy horror narrative is a masterclass in suspense that truly engages all your senses. Blackwell expertly crafts a story that leaves you with chills, making the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end.
While the pacing felt a bit drawn out at times, which is why I’m giving it a 4 out of 5 stars, the eerie atmosphere and gripping storytelling make it an impressive read. I highly recommend it for those readers who are seeking thrills and chills. Prepare for a journey that will linger in your mind long after you’ve turned the last page!
