Our Dream Home by Jessica Huntley is an unbelievably twisted, shocking, and emotionally resonant psychological thriller about family secrets, insidious gaslighting, and a mother who refuses to bow down.
OMG, I absolutely loved this! It is easily one of the most twisted books Jessica Huntley has ever written, and it immediately jumped to my top favourites.
I was genuinely shocked to see 3- and 4-star reviews on Goodreads—I feel like we didn't even read the same book!
The plot was incredibly original, and the setup was so brilliantly plotted that I suspected everyone, with no clue what their true motives were.
Every single part ended with a twist that left me totally floored! Fiona was an outstanding protagonist—far from a pushover, she used her common sense and stood her ground every time her husband tried to gaslight her.
Her struggle as a mother dealing with teenagers felt painfully realistic, authentic, and emotionally charged.

I couldn't put it down, I was glued to it. Whenever I had a spare moment to read, I did.
Fiona never wins anything, then she wins a competition. She wins a house in a picturesque part of England and uproots her family.
For me, the book starts slowly but wow, does it get going! Jessica has a talent, her writing style draws you in and you won't be able to put the book down. This is the best book I've read this year and I highly recommend it.
