This is my second read by Irina Shapiro, my first was one of her historical mystery thrillers. I was quite excited to dive into this modern-day suspense!
I loved this book. Trying to figure out who did it was genuinely fun, with so many suspicious characters that my theories kept shifting. Shapiro weaves an intricate storyline filled with compelling personalities, an isolated setting, and a constant undercurrent of tension.
Fast-paced and engaging, this story flew by and held my attention from start to finish.
