"Dark Notes" is a captivating and heart-wrenching read that pulls you in from the very first chapter. The intensity of the opening sets the tone for the entire book. While I struggled with the age dynamics involving these particular characters, I found that the story developed into a decent read overall. The author weaves in moments of comedy and suspense. The darkness throughout the story is profound and impactful. Also there is a QR code in the beginning that provides a list of triggers, for those needing it. Overall, it’s a thought-provoking book that may not be for everyone. 3.5/5 ⭐
