What happens when you pair a man engineered to have no emotions... a man that is a true killing machine living a solitary life with a fierce nun? Absolutely not what you think! Vlad Kuznetsov and Assisi Lastra's connection defies logic. A dark and intense journey is what they are on in The Cute Psycho by Veronica Lancet. This is the first book in the Morally Ambiguous Duet Series. The sequel, His Hell Girl, is set to release on June 28, 2025.
Let me start by saying, this book is not for the faint of heart. It’s a deep dive into the darkest corners of human emotion and behavior. If you're not into dark romance, this might not be your cup of tea. But if you are, buckle up. Dark books are my thing. At some point in the book, I thought to myself... this is kinda dark.
Vlad is a complex character. Devoid of emotion yet oddly captivating. Assisi is a beacon of light in his dark world. Their interactions are intense, and the chemistry is palpable. The writing sucks you into their twisted world.
I was thoroughly engrossed from start to finish. The plot twists kept me on the edge of my seat, and the emotional depth of the characters added layers to the story. It's a five-star read for me.
