L.G. Davis delivers a gripping and an intensely emotional thriller in "The Missing Bridesmaid," a novel that seamlessly blends psychological suspense with family drama. The story revolves around a mother’s worst nightmare: her daughter’s sudden disappearance on the night before her wedding.
The story has a time jump that begins with an unsettling introduction to Hannah and Nathan’s daughter, Lennie, who starts to talk to her imaginary friend, Whisper. Lennie’s imaginary friend sets the stage for a chilling series of events.
As the plot thickens, Davis masterfully keeps readers on the edge of their seats with a series of twists and turns.
Davis excels at creating a palpable sense of fear and urgency, drawing readers into Hannah’s frantic search for Lennie. The pacing is relentless, I lost a bit of sleep as I kept coming back for more!
The only thing for me was the time jump. I felt it was too long between what happened in Book 1 to Book 2.
