The characters in this book face tests of their morality and it was interesting to see how far they would go to have power, or at least the fleeting illusion of it.
Catherine was an interesting FMC as she allowed herself to be in an unhealthy relationship with her fiancee and I sympathized with her over it. Only to swing like a pendulum and got annoyed with her obsession and determination to be seen by Fabian. Don't get me started on her and Lucien lol.
The multiple POVs was interesting but I couldn't fully get into some of the characters and their role in the story. Some bits were very repetitive and it was slow going until the middle-ish of the book.
