This book was a fantastic read that kept me turning the pages to find out what would happen next! It was fast-paced and full of action with lots of twists. James MacFadden is an Inspector with Scotland Yard assigned to investigate the murder of a world-renowned Aids researcher. As he travels to the US, he meets Dr. Margaret Kreiser and the two of them find themselves in a cat and mouse chase with secret governments, cartels and the like. I found myself routing for both MacFadden and Maggie (Margaret) despite their perilous circumstances. The author’s descriptions are terrific, especially when describing the scenery in the various places visited in the book. I felt like I could picture myself there…especially Puerto Rico! Despite not understanding much about science or how governments work, I found this book fantastic! The author does a great job of describing things so that the average reader is able to understand what is going on and follow the story. I enjoyed the ending and I was both surprised and pleased at how the book was wrapped up.
