This was a rollercoaster of a read and I'm still figuring out how I feel. The first half of the book was slow and I did not like Belladonna, the FMC. She seemed juvenile and how she was written annoyed the hell out of me. Kaiser, the MMC, was a masterclass in dealing with her. The other minor characters made things somewhat bearable (except the constant use of YOLO by the girls).
The chemistry between Bella and Kaiser was palpable and I liked the slowish burn. The spice was decent. I struggled through the first part but when I finally hit the second part, I couldn't put my Kindle down.
Bella gets her revenge but my jaw dropped as the events unfolded. She grew into the title she had been aiming for (supervillain) but one with empathy and motives that leave you shook.
Overall a decent read and I can't wait for the future books of the Fraternitas series.
