Fool Me (Timberline Peak, #1)

Fool Me started off strong, with Harlowe and Atlas being caretakers in different arenas; Harlowe as a search-and-rescue worker and Atlas being a veterinarian. The action starts when Atlas saves Harlowe's beloved dog. The two characters have an immediate chemistry but only when Harlowe's ex (who happens to be Atlas' brother) shows up do we move into the plot.

The fake dating trope is done well and I loved the buildup between the MCs. The spice happened towards the end and even then it was tamer compared to what I've been reading. The slow burn and emotional depth made for a good story.
