I was excited to receive Goodnight Spaceman as it will be my son’s first book, okay so he is not 2 yet, he is only 4.5 months old but reading is such an important thing for me and I wanted to start reading to him very early on.

This book is a great bedtime book for children, boys and girls. It is a quick read with only 32 pages and has just a few words on each page making it a great starter book for children when they learn to read themselves too.

The illustrations are fantastic and colourful which captures children instantly, the words are big and it is a lovely little story.

My son actually loves me reading this to him; he gets rather excited flailing his legs about with glee.

There is also a CD with the book, which is read by ESA Astronaut Tim Peake which is absolutely amazing.

What is even more fascinating is that it is the first ever bedtime story to be recorded in SPACE! And with Tim Peake being practically a superstar amongst young boys at the moment, inspiring them to get their rockets and spaceship toys out and play with them and maybe even inspiring them to become astronauts when they are older it is a must read.

I would definitely recommend it, my son loves it and I am sure when he learns to read he will be reading it himself too.
