A Wife in Ruins – Rania Stone
First book I’ve read by Rania Stone, and honestly? Not disappointed. Not even a little. From the very first page, it had that magnetic pull — the kind where you tell yourself “just one more chapter” and before you know it, hours have disappeared and the world around you fades out completely.
The change of scenery — Greece — was like a breath of fresh air. You could almost feel the heat of the sun, smell the sea, and taste that bittersweet freedom the main character was chasing. The emotions ran deep but never dragged; it was heartfelt without drowning in melodrama. Every twist and decision felt raw and real, like you were living it alongside her.
It’s fast-paced, beautifully written, and full of the kind of emotional punch that keeps you turning pages before you even realize it. I went in curious and came out hooked. Definitely one I’d recommend — and absolutely worth adding Rania Stone to your list of authors to keep an eye on.

Eerste boek dat ik van Rania Stone las, en echt? Geen moment spijt. Vanaf de eerste pagina had het me te pakken — zo’n verhaal dat je blijft lezen en waarbij de tijd gewoon verdwijnt zonder dat je het doorhebt.
De setting in Griekenland gaf het verhaal een hele nieuwe sfeer. Je voelt bijna de zon, hoort de zee, en proeft de vrijheid waar de hoofdpersoon naar verlangt. Het is oprecht, meeslepend en nergens overdreven dramatisch. Elk moment voelde echt — alsof je het zelf meebeleefde.
Het leest snel, zit vol emotie en blijft boeien tot de laatste bladzijde. Ik begon nieuwsgierig, maar eindigde verslaafd. Absoluut een aanrader — en Rania Stone is wat mij betreft een naam om te onthouden.
