Sweet Captivity: A Dark Mafia Romance (The Novikoff Mafia #1)
He claimed me as his… and I was too powerless to stop it.
Dimitri Novikoff has set his eyes on me.
As punishment for my brother’s actions,
I now belong to a man that wants to hurt me.
Dimitri is known as the Bratva’s torturer.
Pain and misery bring him comfort.
And now he wants me for himself.
I despise him.
And yet my body responds to his touch.
I’m stuck in this relationship with no way out.
I’m not sure I’ll even survive it.
But if I want any chance of escape,
I’ll have to go further into the darkness of our relationship.
Even if it causes my own death.

Overall the plot was interesting. Natalya married Mikhail, a ruthless Bratva leader but has to make the decision to leave her family behind.
The beginning was slow but as it picked up, there were moments where I gasped, laughed, and rolled my eyes. Then there were moments when I had to turn my Kindle off from how annoying the characters and their actions were.
Natalya's incessant need to please everyone and protect people with little regard for safety pissed me off. I only liked one of her sisters because she was levelheaded. And the MMC Mikhail saved the story for me because that man was devoted to helping his wife, even as she made stupid decisions. The spicy moments were hot and Mikhail's dirty talk was top notch.
