Jade and Cullum win a life-changing amount of money on the lottery, Jade thinks of practical things she wants to do with the money, and Callum seems to want to spend it and material things.
Even though they haven’t gone public about it someone finds out and approaches them for help. This takes them into a spiral.
I like Jade, she is very level-headed, I did not like Callum, he acted like a complete idiot and had no respect for Jade’s feelings on matters at all.
This was a tense read, I didn’t know what to expect as I kept reading, it was a rollercoaster of emotions throughout, fear, anger, and sadness.
The ending was good, although I didn’t really want that to happen, I was hoping for a different outcome.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this.
