In search of a book to keep her entertained until the snow abates, Tricia happens upon a secret room. One that contains audio transcripts from every single patient Dr. Hale has ever interviewed. If I could give this more stars I would! What a ride! Freida has out done herself with this book!
One of my favorite things about Freida's books is she always has enough characters for you to suspect, and most of the time you will be wrong!
I absolutely can not recommend this book enough!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Never Lie is a sharp, fast-paced psychological thriller that completely worked for me from start to finish. The tension is immediate, the premise is gripping, and the story wastes no time pulling you deeper with each chapter.
What really stood out was how controlled the pacing felt—nothing dragged, and every reveal pushed the story forward instead of feeling excessive or gimmicky. I stayed fully engaged the entire time, constantly wanting just one more chapter, which is exactly what I want from this kind of read. An easy 5⭐ for me and a strong recommendation if you like twist-driven thrillers that know how to keep their footing while still surprising you.

This was a fun, quick read. I loved the snowed-in cabin in the woods combination and I love books with a small group of characters because you know they have to be connected somehow and you can't wait to learn how.
I loved the inclusion of the recordings on Dr Hales sessions, I think that was a really fun way to do that rather than have us sit in on each session as narrative. It left us in the dark to some extent since it was only audio/dialog.
I am not a 'try to guess the twist' person but was inundated online with "You think you know but you don't" posts, and with such a small cast of characters (and a clear red herring) kind of gave some of it away? Which was a bummer. I sure didn't know the HOW/WHY, but that was enough spoiler to figure out the WHO. All that to say, go in as blind as you can to this one!

Tricia searches for something to pass the time until she can leave. As she reaches into the bookcase, she discovers a secret room. The room contains the audio transcripts of every client Dr Hale has ever interviewed.

Make sure you have no plans for the day when you pick up this book! It's absolutely unputdownable. You might think you've worked it out not far in, but trust me, you really haven't! The twists just keep coming. A fantastic five stars from me.
