Sucker Literary Magazine Volume I (Volume 1)

Sucker Literary Magazine features short stories by emerging, hugely intelligent writers who have the grit and talent to create compelling, authentic young adult literature that both adults and teens can enjoy. We publish FICTION ONLY but welcome all genres of YA writing. Bring on your skateboarding vampires, angst-ridden nerd-boy who has never been kissed, or girl crushing on her best friend (be it girl or boy). From dystopian to contemporary, as long as the writing is fresh and the story compelling, we are interested in reading your work. Sucker Literary Magazine seeks to showcase stories that are provocative and hopeful. Inspiring without preaching. We want character and voice-driven work that doesn't rely on a heavy plot. That being said, we want to be entertained. Make us feel engrossed in the action and keep us turning the pages.
