One moment will gut you, the next will soften your heart with unexpected tenderness. I was hooked by the layered characters, main and secondary, and the tight bond forming between these two damaged souls. Fun fact: it spun out of Soto’s Harry Potter fanfic The Auction, which imagines Hermione and Draco in this slow‑burn enemies‑to‑lovers dance.
