⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Scary Bastard by Aron Beauregard
Trigger warning: abuse, kidnapping, child murder, and rape — yeah, it’s as heavy as it sounds.
After reading The Playground, I was both intrigued and disgusted — the perfect mix that makes you question your own taste in books. Still, curiosity won, and I dove into Scary Bastard. Let’s just say page 94… I could’ve lived without it. Some things you just can’t unsee, even in your mind.
But here’s the thing: I absolutely loved it. Not sure what that says about me, but this felt like watching one of those outrageous Halloween horror slash-and-dash movies — blood, chaos, and mental breakdowns all in one twisted package. Aron Beauregard knows how to make your stomach turn and your eyes stay glued to the page at the same time.
It’s fast-paced, disturbingly easy to read, and absolutely not for the faint-hearted. But if you’re into gore, madness, and stories that make you slightly concerned about your own enjoyment — this one’s for you.
