Seattle Slayer
~Annabelle Fogerty
In Seattle Slayer, we meet Edith Parks, a post-doctorate forensic psychology intern with the FBI, thrust into her first major case: profiling a vigilante who targets individuals connected by their own heinous crimes. As Edith constructs the killer’s psychological portrait, she juggles her burgeoning career and a tangled love life. The deeper she delves into the Seattle Slayer’s mind, the more she’s forced to confront her beliefs about justice, principles, and human depravity. Can she complete the profile before the killer strikes again - or will her focus make her the next target?
Fogerty populates her thriller with vivid, flawed characters whose personal struggles bleed into their professional lives, creating messy, relatable tension. Readers root for them, hooked on the emotional stakes and eager to see what happens next.
The novel’s immersive atmosphere places you squarely in Seattle’s shadows alongside Edith and her team. Every twist tightens the vise - palms slick, pulse racing - you wonder who the Slayer will punish next.
Seattle Slayer is a gripping, high-octane ride that balances heart-pounding suspense with Edith’s raw vulnerability. My only quibble: the clues telegraph the killer’s identity a touch too early. Still, I devoured every page and can’t wait to follow Edith deeper into Fogerty’s FBI Thriller series.
I'd like to thank Annabelle J Fogerty for the opportunity to Alpha/Beta/ARC for Seattle Slayer. As always, all opinions and reviews are of my own volition. I have not been promised any compensation, current or future, by the author or publisher for a fair and honest review.

This story follows Edith Parks a Forensic Psychology Intern as she navigates her life goals, promising career and her increasingly complicated love life. Together with her mentor, FBI agent Leland Ward, Edith races to create a profile of The Seattle Slayer, a vigilante targeting the worst of the worst.
This fast paced thriller had me on the edge of my seat and questioning my morals. Although the clues were very obvious throughout the story and I wasn't shocked at how any of it played out, it didn't take away from the suspense.
The characters are likeable and I look forward to seeing how Edith's story plays out in future books. We love a strong female lead that can take care of herself!
Highly recommend if you enjoy a good FBI procedural with a strong, intelligent female lead and a serial killer taking vigilante to a whole nother level. If you like having your morals tested. Or if you're just looking for a quick novel to get your mind off something. This was a great read.
