Danny O'Brien observes his life and likes what he sees. He has a loving wife, two beautiful children, plenty of friends, and a high-powered job at a pharmaceutical company. He spends his free time playing soccer and being with his family and friends.

But Danny's idyllic life turns upside in the course of one year as the pressures of work and family bear down on him, exposing cracks at the foundations of his relationships.

With a major drug launch on the line at work, Danny must navigate murky ethical and legal terrain while tending to his wounded pride at losing a coveted position to his nemesis.

Things are no less fraught at home. When his father falls ill, he must face long-standing tensions with his brother in order to prevent further deterioration in his relationship with his father. At the same time, his best friend is dealing with demons of his own.

As he and his loved ones absorb life's body blows, Danny is forced to examine how much he truly knows about the people he cares for-and what, if anything, he can do to repair the damage to their lives before it's too late.
