Beautiful descriptions of many places in Germany and lovely characters. However, as a warning, it is quite slow and the paranormal, dark secret stuff does not really take off until the last two chapters of the book. So I wouldn't exactly go by the blurb because it is *far* more a coming of age story than a mystery or paranormal type of story.

I did enjoy it but I think it needs to be "billed" differently.
