I love the author Sheri Meshal so I was super excited to read her new book ‘They can never know’.
Cleota is a character who you will instantly like, an old women who has suffered abuse for a long time, not only from her now deceased husband but from his sons too. She had cancer and she knew her time was coming to an end. So when a miracle happened when the bathtub fell through the floor she fled from that life and wanted to enjoy life to the fullest while she still had time but it doesn’t come as easy as she imagined…
I must say for her age, Cleota was a spunky lady, so independent considering what she had been through. I really admired her and the adventure she took was one that changed her life for the better. It was a bit of a rollercoaster at times but I am not going to spoil that for you but what I can say is that if you don’t read it you will regret it.
It is definitely a book that will stay with me for a long while. I hope I am just like Cleota when I am an old lady, kind, caring but won’t take any rubbish.
