CBT, DBT, &ACT Therapy Workbook for Anxious Attachment Recovery
~Dr. Robert J. Charles, PhD, D.Min
I have ADHD, among other issues that result in anxiety issues. As a young girl I was never properly diagnosed, so I spent most of my adult life suffering in silence with the ADHD and anxiety. I've spent time reading plenty on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but was never aware of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and how combining aspects of all three could be beneficial.
This workbook takes you on a journey exploring the why you suffer from anxiety – from childhood trauma, triggers, they types of anxiety, and how it can affect our relationships. We then can explore the different types of therapies available – CBT, DBT, and ACT – to find which one or ones are beneficial to our unique circumstances. With examples provided, worksheets to pinpoint our areas of focus and guided steps, this workbook is a great asset to overcoming anxiety for the mildest to most complex cases.
Of course, a book or review is never meant to replace actual medical consultation and guidance, but it is a great resource to supplement through your journey.
As always, all opinions and reviews are of my own volition. I have not been promised any compensation, current or future, by the author or publisher for a fair and honest review.
