How to Make Your Neighbors Disappear A Suspenseful Psychological Thriller with Shocking Twists

On Silent Ridge Road, the annual fall party is meant to be a cheerful neighborhood tradition, but beneath the cider and smiles lurks danger. Every neighbor carries a secret, some strange, some shameful, and some deadly. Candi hides a peculiar hobby, while Sydney’s perfect facade masks a marriage on the brink. Ruth is testing new boundaries with a man she does not fully trust, and Hunter quietly plots escape from a suffocating relationship. Jason wrestles with past demons that refuse to stay buried, while Gavin’s charm conceals motives no one can pin down. As hidden truths rise to the surface, the block’s picture-perfect veneer shatters, proving that no one here is safe and no one is innocent.

This was a very enjoyable, twisty book with a mix of well-developed characters. The descriptive story made me feel like I was living on Silent Ridge Road and believe me, I’m glad I’m not a resident! I read it within a few days and it kept me engaged throughout. This is my second book I from this author and I look forward to reading more. Highly recommended!

How well do you know your neighbours? Every neighbourhood has its secrets, but the secrets on Silent Ridge Road can kill!

The annual fall party is Candi's proudest achievement! A yearly celebration where the community comes together to play games, drink, and share laughter. It is a time to forget any simmering tensions or woes. But beneath all the festive decor and carefree facades are deadly secrets simmering away and threatening to boil over. No one on Silent Ridge is innocent, and no one is safe!

I enjoyed this twisty story as it unravelled. Each chapter is told from a different character's perspective, and the revelations just keep coming! There are quite a few repetitive phrases throughout, but on the whole this is a well-crafted story that works hard to keep your interest. I recommend it for those who love guessing where a story will go next because just when you think you've sussed it, Samara turns everything on its head and takes you in a different direction.

How to Make Your Neighbors Disappear by Samara Cove

This book absolutely ruined my productivity, stole my sleep, and had the audacity to make me grateful for it. I picked it up “just to start” and suddenly it was hours later, my responsibilities were abandoned, and my brain was whispering one more chapter like a bad influence in a trench coat.

It’s an easy, fast read—but don’t confuse “easy” with harmless. Because the people on this street? Unhinged. Impressively so. The kind of weird that makes you side-eye your own neighbors and think, yeah, statistically speaking, at least one of you is hiding a body.

I won’t spoil anything (because I’m not a monster), but this has to be one of the most deeply disturbing streets to ever exist on paper. Every single person is sitting on a secret. Some are unsettling. Some are straight-up wrong. And somehow—somehow—there’s a common thread running through all that chaos that made this ridiculously fun to read.

Normally, secrets rot relationships. They crawl under your skin, drive wedges between people, destroy trust. Here? Secrets are basically the HOA. They don’t divide the neighborhood—they build it. And that twisted little concept? Chef’s kiss.

I flew through this book like my soul recognized it as a safe space. My dark, twisty little mind was very much at home here. Comfort read? Technically yes. Should that concern anyone? Probably. Am I concerned? Absolutely not. Make of that what you will.
