Never trust a faerie — apparently especially when they’re as dangerous as they are heartbreakingly human. The stakes are huge (an Elder fae that could doom Asteria), and the action hits when it needs to, but a few pacing and character beats kept me from fully investing. Intriguing worldbuilding and a tense central mission make this worth a read, even if it didn’t quite land for me.
