The Witch's Familiars: Book One in The Familiars Chronicles

Parts of this were really interesting and the final climax scene had some intensity. But there were many missing apostrophes, some pacing was jarring and I found the whole thing between Jinx and Stormshadow kinda contrived and forced. Not really for me, I suspect.

Now I did really like some of the magic, especially the beads. That was cool!
