I think this story had a fun concept, but it didn't have enough tension for me. I couldn't track Blake's age very well and I think the tension would have been higher if he felt more like the teenager he was supposed to be.
Anyway, not scary, not really creepy either, but a bit of low-key Monkey's Paw vibes and an actions have consequences message.
