The Memory Watcher
Haunted by memories of the daughter she gave up at fifteen, Autumn Carpenter never fully moved on. She doesn't have to. Instead, she lives a life of relative seclusion, content to watch from a distance as the picture-perfect McMullen family raises her daughter as their own. Every birthday, every milestone, every memory, Autumn is watching. Only no one knows. But when the opportunity presents itself, Autumn allows herself to become intertwined in the lavish life of the picturesque McMullens. And only then does she realize that pictures . . . they lie. The perfect family . . . it doesn't exist. And beautiful people . . . they keep the ugliest secrets.

I dove into this book blind—no blurb, no expectations—and what I got was a dark, twisty thrill ride packed with questions at every turn. Just when I thought I had a grip on the truth… nope. Another layer peeled back. Another secret exposed.
Nothing was as it seemed—and that’s exactly how I like it.
The ending felt a little rushed, like the final scene cut just a beat too short, but the journey there? Deliciously unsettling.
