As someone who LOVES Greek mythology, I was so excited to delve into this book. Among the strong parts of God of Love is the FMC Charisma, the trials themselves, and the subplot involving a threat to the Gods.
With the authors deciding to join forces and write a book together, I felt as though there could have been more outlining or a way to write cohesively. Some parts felt like different writing styles and the switch from 1st to 3rd person made me temporarily pause to remember which character's POV I was reading. There was an attempt at world building, some facets worked and others didn't, leaving me in a story that didn't feel fleshed out.
I did like the characters. Charisma is an interesting FMC who uses her mother's teachings about the Gods as a tool to get through the trials. Her "relationship" with Eros, the God of Love, had me giggling due to their banter and his formal speech.
With some tweaks and cohesive prose, God of Love will be an amazing story. The potential is there.
