gore paired with vengeance-style justice

“Survival of the Fittest” by Courtney Capone is a brutal, adrenaline-fueled prequel to a story in Vacay & Decay, and WOW—this one packs a punch. From start to finish, the intensity never lets up. Maggie is an incredible character—strong, fierce, and unforgettable. This story delivers plenty of gore paired with vengeance-style justice that is both shocking and wildly satisfying. I couldn’t put it down and devoured it in one sitting. Dark, fast-paced, and relentless, this is a must-read for fans of savage thrillers and revenge stories.

Holy gruesome horror. DO NOT EAT WHILE READING THIS BOOK.
Courtney is absolutely unhinged. Free warning at the beginning of this book and she means it!... I LOVE IT!. Horror is a new adventure for me but I had to pause and truly dig deep on whether I could keep going to finish this book.
It's a quick one day read and I absolutely love Courtney's questionable mental state while writing this.
4.5-5 ⭐ my gut is still trying to decide.

This is the perfect prequel to the Vacay & Decay story. Maggie is brilliant in her pursuit of justice on behalf of animals. I cheered her on the entire time. Capone sets the perfect scene. I found myself dying to know what happens next. If you love a good vengeance story with a bit of gore, this is for you! Can't wait to read more from this author!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Survival of the Fittest by Courtney Capone

Let’s start with the author’s own trigger warning because honestly? Respect. Author is unhinged (correct, adored), no children or animals harmed (bless), and the rest is pure, unapologetic batsh*t insanity. Accurate. No notes.

I loved this book. Deeply. Uncomfortably. With that part of my brain that should probably be supervised. The reason this woman snaps and goes full feral? Yeah. I get it. I don’t think I personally have the stomach—or the prison tolerance—to do what she does, but reading it? Oh, my twisted little mind had a great time. Every stomach-turning, brain-melting, “how did we even get here” moment. And just when you think it cannot possibly get more inventively disgusting, Courtney Capone looks you in the eye and says, hold my beer. Which does make me wonder what kind of movies she watched as a kid. And whether therapy was ever suggested.
