This was a pretty easy, enjoyable read. The setup is interesting right from the start, and Anna heading back to Brighton with all that baggage definitely pulled me in. Once Patrick shows up, things get messy fast, and that uncomfortable connection kept me turning pages.
I did find the story fairly predictable, though. I could see a lot of the twists coming, which took some of the edge off. Still, the pacing is good, the writing is smooth, and it never felt like a chore to read.
Overall, The Perfect Lie is solid and entertaining, just not very surprising. A good pick if you’re in the mood for a low effort psychological drama that keeps you engaged without completely blowing your mind.
