Bitter Tart Temptations: A Short Romance (Sweetheart Scones & Stories Book 4)

The end of the Sweetheart Scones and Stories series was bittersweet, similar to the story of Rhett and Nicole. When these two pair up to handle Peachwood Grove's restoration project, the chemistry between them combusts and they find themselves passionately defending their views on the project while trying to fight their growing feelings for each other.

I loved the growth of the characters and while they're different, the way they embraced the other's nature was beautiful. Rhett immerses himself in work to avoid his grief and feelings of his troubled past. Nicole enjoys work because art is her passion, seeing the beauty in everything.

The grumpy x sunshine trope shines (no pun intended) in the story. I loved how Rhett acknowledges that he needs to heal from his past. His broodiness vs Nicole's ability to see the good and beauty in everything kept me invested. The way that their contrasting ideas merged into the flawless restoration was great to read. Bitter Tart Temptations is a fun story :)
