None Left to Tell
Lucy is sick of turning the other cheek. Ten years ago, an anti-Mormon mob drove her family and friends from their homes in Illinois. But now, the tables have turned. Rumor has it, some of those same men are traveling through Utah on their way to California. And this time, Lucy won't run.
Katrina knew the trek west would be difficult. But she had no idea she'd be walking straight into hell. The young mother of four is prepared to do whatever it takes to protect her family from the violence closing in, but the battle to survive will be more harrowing than anything she can imagine.
Sally has just been "gifted" to a man she barely knows-as his fourth wife. Trapped and lonely, she tries to make the best of her new life. But when her husband insists on joining a group of religious zealots' plans for revenge, she's forced to reconsider her loyalties. Even if it means putting her own life on the line.
Based on true events, None Left to Tell is the story of the Mountain Meadows Massacre.

None Left to Tell is a devastating story of historical events. Set against the harrowing backdrop of the Mountain Meadows Massacre, the novel follows the lives of three courageous women—Lucy, Katrina, and Sally—each grappling with their own battles amidst a time of unimaginable violence and turmoil.
Each chapter reveals more about the characters’ pasts and their current situations. The historical context is so vividly portrayed that it made me feel the crushing weight of the events as they unfolded.
Noelle Ihli’s writing is evocative, painting a clear picture of the harsh realities of the time.
The emotional scenes are handled with such grace that they left me breathless. Reading this book was a gut-wrenching, heart-breaking experience that will linger with me for a long time. It’s a powerful testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the enduring impact of history on our lives.

Going into this book, I knew what the main event was as had seen Noelle write about it and (briefly) her connection to it. That didn’t reduce the suspense. I was thinking “when’s it going to happen, when’s it going to happen” and when it did start happening…. Noelle held the suspense, really getting you in there with the characters, wondering what the outcome would be, wondering who will make it out alive.
This book was beautifully written from four character perspectives. The part that really had my mouth drop open was the afterword.
I had expected that the characters were fictional, amalgamations of people who *could* have been there. This is not the case.
Noelle has researched so deeply, and been so true to the events, that she has kept the real names of people who were really there, and suffered through this.
What’s more, is that when choosing placeholder names, Noelle actually chose names that she later found out *were actually the children’s names.* If that doesn’t give you chills that someone has been guiding her through… well, there was also a mysterious text message, which could be a story on its own.
It’s chilling that there may be forces at work to get this story told.
Thank you, Noelle, for being their messenger.

I don’t even know where to begin. I went into this story blind. Only knowing that it was about three women connected by a brutal mass slaying. Knowing that it was another thriller from Noelle W. Ihli. So yeah, was interested. Little did I know that I was going to be taken on a journey back into history into one of the biggest massacres on US soil. Although this book is fiction, much of it is based on real events. The events that were portrayed in this story were shocking. My heart was heavy throughout the story. To know that I knew little of these events , these cover ups and the amount of lives lost is beyond comprehension. I applaude Ms Ihli for writing such a brilliant story around a significant peace of history that remains silent on the horizon. For bringing the victims names to the forefront and telling the story in a unique way that can and will reach many , when it would have remained unknown.
