The summer of 1998 was one of the most exciting that Rosie Harper had ever known. She was dating the lead singer of “The Swallows” so her life was all about wild parties and having fun. When Rosie suddenly vanished suspicion immediately fell on Chris Swallow who then disappeared from the limelight.

**"Summer of Swallows"** by **Molly Garcia** is an intriguing mystery filled with a rollercoaster ride of emotions, a tale of fractured relationships, and a search for redemption.
Rosie Harper's life revolves around wild parties and excitement, thanks to her relationship with the lead singer of "The Swallows." But when Rosie mysteriously disappears, suspicion falls squarely on Chris Swallow, who vanishes from the limelight as well.
The opportunity to reopen Rosie's cold case presents itself, when a deceased hoarder is identified as Chris. The stakes are high, and the secrets buried in the past threaten to resurface.
Molly weaves a web of intrigue, suspense, and hidden motives. The story alternates between the past and the present, which I love in a book. Molly skillfully explores themes of love, loss, and the lengths people will go to protect their secrets. Throughout the entire book, I was cheering for Laura to uncover any information about her missing sister. Did she just up and leave or was she murdered?
Molly Garcia's writing is sharp, her characters haunting, and her plot twists unexpected. Prepare to be hooked from the first page to the shocking finale. This is my second book by Molly and can’t wait to read her others!

The characters are richly developed, and the plot is both intricate and gripping. Garcia’s storytelling is immersive, making it hard to stop listening. The emotional depth of the narrative, combined with the suspense of the mystery, kept me engaged from start to finish!
The narrator did a fantastic job bringing the characters to life, adding an extra layer of emotion and tension to an already captivating story. The pacing was perfect, and the narration enhanced the experience, making it even more compelling.
