One of the standout aspects of the novel is how it creates a sense of dread and unease. It gave me chills, reading this late into the night. Marcus skillfully creates an environment where the characters’ fears and anxieties feel real, making it easy for readers to empathize with them. The plot twists are unexpected and it kept me guessing right up until the last moment.

Ah this was great! The creepy mystery surrounding the family and the house, the historical info between chapters, the Morse code I only learned of after, thanks to a switched-on reader friend… very well done. Glad this one was recommended! I shall and have recommended to others!

Definite page turner

This would have never been my normal pick. But after so many suggestions and positive reviews I gave it a try and I'm glad I did. Definitely enjoyed it alot.
