I devoured this book and cannot wait to read book 2! Antonella is a feisty FMC who holds her own against the MMC Giordano; when he gets too bossy, she straightens him out. The story was believable and relatable. Antonella falls on hard times after being laid off from her job and Giordano helps her out. The slow-burn romance had me on the edge of my seat waiting for the main characters to finally give in to the tension and the spice DID NOT disappoint!
The side characters added various aspects to the story. The villain (Cillian) is a sly and mischievous guy who invokes Giordano's wrath when Cillian flirts and talks to Antonella. Giordano's best friend and underboss Xander is mysterious and quiet. Each character was well written and I can't wait to see what happens in book 2!
