The second part of Iris and Kian's story was a mixed bag of emotions. The growth of the characters, especially Kian, kept me reading.
Iris faces the daunting prospect of confessing her "sins" to her obsession of three years or have them aired out for her. Tbh, I felt like this part of the story was a cop out and irritated me. Iris is a strong character and for her to break down the way she did and struggle with telling the man she loves about her obsession and other things did not sit well with me. Then the added stress of the will-or-won't she marry Nathan and avoid upsetting her family... I was more invested in Kian and his storyline.
Let me tell you that Kian is not a book boyfriend but A HUSBAND, okay? The way that he spoiled Iris, was sinfully sexy and erotic during their spicy moments, and grew from the stoic and guarded man to a vulnerable lover of had me feral for this man. I was glad that we learned more about his backstory and why he stayed away from his family.
Overall this was a great book with a couple things that had me side-eyeing my Kindle.
*Huge thanks to the Author Agency and Simran for the early copy!
