3.5 rounding up to 4. I've enjoyed other books in this series and figured it was time to finally get #1 read. I thin you an tell a bit that this was the first book written as it's not a tidy as the others (or at least what I noticed re: typos and such)
I liked the inclusion of Carter being a STEM student and that there was some focus on her life outside football (something I do remember being annoyed about in others in this series - the FMC barely existing outside the team) But their connection, for 75% of the book was almost purely physical that it didn't do much for me. 'Ovaries' and 'org@sm' were so dreadfully overused in this book I almost put it down.
But I did like the MCs and that carried me through, and their eventual individual arcs coming together was really nice. even though they both have pretty annoying (ok Cater's mom is terrible) parents, seeing them stand up and become their own people was a nice final act in the story, I just wish some of that development could have happened earlier along the way.
