Talia Kemper is on death row for the murder of her husband, Noel. With an alibi and no known motive, she protests her innocence. When all hope of a final appeal fades, her fate takes a shocking turn.
Did Talia really see her husband, the man she's convicted of murdering, in the visitation area? Maybe he's not dead after all. Will anyone believe her before time runs out?
This is my first dip into the world of Freida McFadden! I know, I know; I'm super late to the party! This was a quick and enjoyable read. I'll definitely check out more of her work!

Although not my favorite Freida book, it still had her typical "WTF?!" moment.

4.5 rounding up
At points I was everywhere from 2-5 stars on this one. And I think the reason many people didn't love it, is the reason I did (?) I liked the WTF happened/is happening vibes and the bleak ending. Though I'm not sure what left people confused, to me it was fairly clear (?) what happens in the end, but maybe people wanted something else so were projecting it.
Quick and easy read that keeps you flipping back and forth on what's going on and what's real.
