Definitely Jurassic Park meets Thirteen Ghosts vibes. It started a little slow for me but once it picked up it kept going. I enjoyed the details put into the back stories of the ghosts. I had a hard time telling what exactly was going to happen and I love that. There were twists I didn't see coming. I really enjoy this book. I can't wait to read the books connected to this one.

Jonah, a horror writer, receives an invite to a haunted island. As a horror writer he receives many requests like this. However, this one boasts REAL ghosts. Not that bump in the night stuff you see on TV. Of course he accepts and invites four friends to attend with him. Trying to find the spot is scary enough, but they then realize the only way to get on or off the island is by boat. What the crew encounters next is a whirlwind of supernatural horror they never expect. WELCOME TO NIGHTMARE ISLAND!

I must say up front I am not normally into paranormal or ghost stories. Just never really caught or kept my attention. Devin Cabrera really got me with this one. Loved the pacing. I also love the fact that this isn’t one of those ghost stories where it’s all “bump in the night” kind of scares. These ghosts are something else. Very fun quick read. I’m very happy I found this gem. Thanks to Devin Cabrera for your hard work and creativity.

Definitely a Thirteen Ghosts vibe on an island. The ghosts were super creepy. You get a little backstory of the characters. The storyline hooks you. Some parts are gruesome. Overall it's a good, quick read.

Five friends. One haunted island. Zero chance of a peaceful getaway.

This story wastes no time throwing you straight into the chaos, and once it starts, it does not let up. The concept of a “tourist attraction” turned deadly trap is such a fun hook, and the execution delivers with nonstop tension, eerie atmosphere, and some seriously unsettling ghosts.

What really worked for me was the group dynamic—watching friendships get tested under pressure added an extra layer beyond just survival horror. The pacing kept me flipping pages, and the stakes felt real the entire time.

I do wish we had a little more depth with a couple of the characters, but honestly, the adrenaline and creep factor made up for it.

If you’re into fast-paced horror with a survival edge and a setting that feels like a nightmare you can’t wake up from, this one’s definitely worth the ride. 🌑

welcome To Nightmare Island by Devin Cabrera was a novel made of nightmares but not enough to sleep with lights on. As you read it you feel as if you are watching a movie, such as 13 ghosts (2001) but how amazing would it be to vacation with ghosts but only of you can control them!

Gosh, I don't even know where to start with this one! This book had me super creeped out—in a totally thrilling way!

From the very first page, the atmospheric tension and eerie undertones had me completely hooked.

Devin has crafted a gripping story that kept me on edge, never quite certain which sinister entity might be lurking just around the corner.

The plot is full of surprises
that left me genuinely unsettled at times, but I loved every minute of it. The vivid descriptions and haunting setting make you feel like you're stuck in a nightmare. Yet, there’s a morbid curiosity that drives you to uncover the secrets hidden within its pages.

This story is a gripping psychological thriller that doesn’t just play with your mind; it takes you on an intense journey through the darker corners of human nature.
