Love Theoretically

I was... pleasantly surprised here. I usually pick up an Ali Hazelwood book, expect 3 stars at best along with some complaining upon finishing (generally, they are fun to read while your brain is off, which is why I keep reading them) but this time... I didn't hate her MMC!

I was pretty sick of her grumpy, giant guys (ok Jack is still described as big/giant at literally every chance) but he's thankfully different and we get to see his backstory more and let his intelligence shine. There was probably too much science in this one for a lot of people, but that was what kept me happy here. The puns, the publications... yes!

Did I groan at the visit from Olive and Adam? Yep. honestly, I never want to see them again. Did I equally love Jack's other sciencey friends? Yes! More George please!

With more brain-power was Elsie a bit too dumb (people-skills-wise)? Maybe, but people-pleasing is a slippery slope, and I can let it slide. Was Jack maybe a bit condescending in his trying to get her to just be honest? Probably, but again... slippery slope that I am willing to let go in a romance read.
