Detective Jenkins and Barrientos are back at it again! This time the great concern is this ghostly Kingpin who they are surveying to capture. The real twist is, how? With no photos, records or social media this eloquent KingPin is out of sight and out of mind...Haunting the streets of a greater city in the most ominous places. Jenkins and Barrientos are determined to find "The Wolf" as they were given a tip tracing back to a drug shipment, drugs weren't found but children were. This unravelled and revealed a bigger operation at hand, involving a trafficking network protected by the wealthy. Whose pulling this devious and deviant game? The hunt is on and the obession heightens. Will Jenkins and Barrientos find The Wolf or will The Wolf find them?
"These criminals had the ins and outs to twist the system. They had the power and finances too."
I don't know where to begin, J.B Arnold did it again! From start to finish this book kept you on your toes, your mind racing with questions and suspense, as the plot intensifies and thickens! The character development intertwined with the past and present timeline brought so much depth and understanding to how it all tied in to tracking "The Wolf." This series keeps getting better and better with flawless consistency, impeccable imagery as the world of Jenkins and Barrientos expands. My two favorite detectives showing dedication, resilience, determination and not one fearless bone in their bodies. You'll be brought on a ride that'll have you teetering on the edge of your seat. The emotions you feel will grip you like glue and reel you in quickly, through the the non-stop true crime action.
