This book had me questioning EVERYTHING. 😂
Quinn escapes one dangerous cult after being taken at thirteen, only to find herself in a place that feels increasingly wrong. The house has rules, the women are acting strangely, and the man who is supposed to be helping her doesn’t quite seem like the person he claims to be.
I really enjoyed how this book kept me second-guessing myself. Every time I thought I had figured something out, I started questioning it all over again. The atmosphere was creepy, the suspense kept building, and I genuinely had no idea where the story was going.
And that ending?! I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING. 😭😂
I especially loved the way the story explores vulnerability, manipulation, and how easily someone who desperately needs help can be taken advantage of. This quote really stuck with me:
“A child who needed something and they offered it. That’s not a character flaw, or weakness. That’s just being human.”
Overall, this was such a fun and suspenseful read. If you enjoy psychological suspense, cult stories, unsettling atmospheres, and books that make you question what’s actually happening, definitely add this one to your TBR!
