I always struggle to pick a favourite book because I love so many. I have my go to favourite authors but over the past 2 years, I have branched out a bit more. I love a book that has me gripped from the start. I don't mind slow burns, but they must grip me. My reviews often seem generous, but that's because I'm picky about what I choose to read. I get a feeling about whether I will like a book and go with it. It's not infallible but it has worked pretty well. I don't like leaving negative reviews as I appreciate the work that has gone into the book too much, so I stick with being picky. Hahaha
