Word of caution: this review is filled with unmarked spoilers!
So I have never done a review but I'm doing one now because I'm seriously pissed! To start off, I had no clue that this book was like a novella of another book! I just happened to come across it on my tablet, it was for $1.99, and I thought, why not? The summary seemed interesting and it was only $1.99!! I want that back. This book makes me want to throw my tablet against the wall and be completely rid of this whole thing! However, I treasure my tablet and actually have great books on there! So I refrained. Anyways....I started reading this book and basically forgot about the majority of the characters introduced because 1) they weren't that memorable and 2) they were just introduced in a huge rush. Then it was just drama, drama, drama because Chase wants her but doesn't want her but she's not allowed to be with anyone else and then he just wants to punch his best friend because the best friend is with her. So for the majority of the book, it's just a constant game of back and forth because Harper loves both guys and just can't choose because someone will get hurt! Yes well maybe you should have figured everything out with Chase first before dating Brandon. She knew of her feelings for Chase before Brandon so that's her fault. And honestly, Chase was supposed to be a grown man and instead acted like a total muscled up hormonal boy without a mature bone in his entire body and you just wanted to slap the crap out of him throughout the entire book. Then when things actually start to get good and everybody's happy (besides Brandon) the author has to create an issue that we as readers all know is a nonissue, she kills off Chase. And what are his dying words? *imagines image of Harper in wedding dress and Brandon beside him* "take care of my family brother please" Are you freakin serious?? After all that, I learn its part of another book where she goes back to Brandon and they act as though nothing happened and Chase never existed!! I wish I had never found this book and wasted that precious time reading it. So thanks for that Molly....thanks a whole bunch!

This book was a nice surprise. I had read mixed reviews, but the fact that this book was about the Greek gods, well I had to give it a chance. I loved how the book started out, and the writing is so detailed. You immediately start out with Athena and Hermes, trekking across a desert while feathers are sprouting out inside Athena's body while Hermes' is slowly being eaten away by his. Ms Blake did an exceptional job of making her characters relatable. I rooted for Athena and her group, especially since Ms. Blake did an awesome job on her villains. Cassandra really wasn't a favorite of mine though. I couldn't make myself like her all that much, but I did love this book and was really pleased by it overall! The mythology was probably what made the book the most memorable for me. Athena's perspective on her family's history was wonderful.

Obsessed!!
So I'm a bit of a new fan of Ivy's. I came across Vinna's story and I fell in love with her writing! And The Bone Witch did not disappoint!! I love the humor in it (Hoots toots had me laughing out loud!) But I loved the serious moments too. It's one of those books that once you start reading, you aren't stopping until you're done and even then, it stays with you. Highly recommend!!
