ARC Review:

This book completely blindsided me.

I went in expecting a fun paranormal romance and ended up absolutely obsessed. I finished it in one 4 hour sitting and immediately went for book two.

Evangeline is hilarious. Her sarcasm had me laughing out loud so many times, but underneath all the humour is someone carrying so much guilt and responsibility that my heart genuinely broke for her. Watching those walls slowly come down was one of my favourite parts of the book.

Belzareth… where do I even start? He’s everything I love in an MMC. Cocky, protective, genuinely funny, and somehow both intimidating and incredibly thoughtful. I expected him to be your typical morally grey incubus, but he surprised me over and over again. Some of my favourite moments were actually the quiet ones where he respected Evangeline’s choices and reminded her that she mattered too.

The banter is honestly some of the best I’ve read. Their conversations flow so naturally that I was grinning through most of the book, and the chemistry between them is unreal. The tension and yearning are SPECTACULAR, and when the spice finally hits… wow. It felt completely earned.

This is so much more than a spicy paranormal romance. It’s funny, emotional, surprisingly wholesome in places, and had me completely invested in both characters by the end.

Now excuse me while I disappear into book two because I refuse to wait another second to find out what happens with the remaining favours.
